A peaceful and serene bedroom that feels casual yet elegant, and of course cozy. Starting with an antique pine armoire and an heirloom brass bed, we added many layers of neutral and lots of rich textures. A chunky woven silk fabric on upholstered cornices with nail head trim top off the natural wood blinds. The wing chair was reupholstered in a soft brown velvet, the ottoman in a soft cream. A custom wool area rug, so soft underfoot, anchors the heavy furnishings. The bedding, a combination of designer and custom, sophisticated and so, so comfy, is the focal point to the room.
